Editorial Policy
APA communications, printed and electronic, are the Associations vehicle for communicating issues that confront us as workers and are the means we use to explain union policies, and provide information on the views and actions of the elected leadership for evaluation by members. Those vehicles are also the voice of the membership and we welcome articles, stories and letters from members, and encourage members to share their input.
While contributions are welcome, they should be constructive and contribute positively to the welfare of our union. We will accept no attacks on any union leader or member. We will accept a thoughtful discussion of all related issues in the letters section, and reserve the right to reply to those that seem to reflect a misunderstanding of the union and its policies.
Please direct ideas, letters, questions and comments to the Association officers.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the APA at msuapa@msu.edu

Social Media Policy
The Administrative Professional Association (APA) may participate in various forms of social media in order to share information and engage members in a discussion pertaining to the working conditions of our members and public education policy.
Disclaimer:
Posted comments and images may not necessarily represent the views of the APA. External, non-APA links may not necessarily constitute an official endorsement on behalf of the APA. While we encourage members to share thoughts and opinions on APA created social media accounts, we expect that this will be done in a respectful manner.
APA does not agree with or endorse every comment that members post on our social media accounts. The goal of APA’s social media engagement is to share ideas and information with as many members as possible and our policy is to accept the majority of comments made to our profile. Therefore, a comment will be deleted if it contains:
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
- Nudity in profile pictures
- Defamation to a person or people
- Name calling and/or personal attacks
- Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product
- Comments that infringe on copyrights
- Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly
- Other comments that APA deems inappropriate
All links posted as comments on APA posts will be reviewed and may be deleted.
Repeated violations of the APA comment policy may cause the author to be blocked from APA social media accounts.
We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We may not see every inappropriate comment right away, and we are trusting in the maturity of our community to ignore personal attacks and negative speech or respond politely. Â Thank You.
